ABOUT

I'm Ally Wallen, a design and communications professional living in Raleigh, NC, with roots in Birmingham, AL and across the southeast. Over a decade in communications roles has earned me the unofficial title of “the one who makes our content look good.”
When I'm not working, you can find me trying to keep my garden alive, doing art projects with three favorite junior designers, or listening to a podcast or audiobook.
In my freelance career, what matters most is making communications and marketing support accessible. Small businesses and nonprofits do meaningful work every day, but not everyone has the budget for a full marketing team or agency. I want to be the creative partner that shows up consistently, learns your mission deeply, and helps you communicate it with clarity and heart.
I’ve worked in an agency setting, higher education, stewardship, clinical research, nonprofits, and even a faith community, and I've learned that no matter the industry, the need is almost always the same: take what we have and who we are, and make it look, feel, and connect meaningfully to drive our mission forward.
When you need a spectrum of marketing supports, without an agency price tag, that’s where I come in. Be it brand and logo design, copywriting, website support, infographics, annual reports, meeting collateral, email marketing, event design, and more, I bring experience and innovative ideas to make you stand out.
